Better technology, better performance : instead of conventional materials, we used a laminated polyester fiber in our new balanced-dome midrange, the same material used in the high-end REV-series speakers. The key to this material is that it is 30% lighter than conventional materials. That difference in weight means faster and more accurate response, for exceptionally clean, detailed music. The TS-A6881R now handles a full 260 watts max. power (50 watts nominal). So, what did we have to give up? Not a thing. Along with bigger power handling, you still get the same high performance that all the TS-A’s deliver.There are a few things in life we’ll never understand. Like why do stereo companies keep trying to force people to put 5″ x 7″ speakers in 6″ x 8″ holes? It doesn’t look or sound right.     these are good for family cars not for sound systems.They just dont have enough watts for a good system,but hey they rock for replacing the factory speakers

    Well i enojy bass so listen to musci at higher volumes so i can hear mids and highs as well. And at lower and mid volumes it sounds good but it distorts at higher volumes.

    So if you really into car audio and enojy your Bass, looks for smthing with higher RMS and stonrger midbass.

    These are wonderful little speakers for a budget price. I installed them in my Focus Wagon – the bass hits hard and the treble is clear. The mid-range could be richer, but it suits my needs. I don’t use an amplifier, just a Pioneer deck with iPod control. With quality and price being my top 2 needs, these speakers fit right in place. Even after talking to the guys at BestBuy, they said the Pioneers hit harder for the dollar than their competitors. Do it.

    i have been looking around for these for quite some time but the prices where outrageous. thanks for have them at such a great price i will shop with you again soon. now that i know where to go for great deals.

    Put 4 of these all the way around in my Ford Ranger, they sound great!
